Dry Hair Treatment

Is your hair dry, damaged and/or frizzy? Are you losing your hair? Here are some remedies to help make your hair look great!

Don’t use shampoos with any harsh chemicals in it like (ammonium laureth sulfate, ammonium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium lauryl sulfate, etc.) They are very damaging to your hair. They strip the hair of its natural oils. Only shampoo your hair once or twice a week and condition your hair every day.

Adding honey to your shampoo will help add moisture to your hair. Add 2 tsp. pure honey to a gentle shampoo. Follow with a gentle conditioner. Honey will help add gloss to the hair shaft.

pH Balance Hair Rinse – Mix equal parts of apple cider vinegar with water and pour through the hair. Leave the solution in the hair and scalp for five minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Coconut Oil

I recently discovered coconut oil and how it is really good for your hair and skin. Virgin unrefined coconut oil is useful in the treatment of virus, fungi and bacteria, all of which can cause acne and skin problems. Virgin unrefined coconut oil is better than most expensive commercial moisturizer and hair conditioners in the market, because it does not only soften rough skin, it is also loaded with antioxidants that help repair skin damage and strengthen skin tissues therefore preventing wrinkles.

Benefits of using Coconut Oil:

  • Virgin unrefined coconut oil is useful in fighting free-radicals as it is unrefined and hasn’t been stripped of any of its important nutrients.
  • Virgin unrefined coconut oil helps prevent liver spots or brown spots. Liver spots is one of the classic sign of old age, it is cause by free-radical deterioration of the lipids (fats) in our skin over exposure to sunlight. The oil absorbed into the skin help limit or minimize damaged caused by excessive sun exposure.
  • Virgin unrefined coconut oil will not only bring temporary relief to stressed skin but it may also help in healing and repairing skin.

Before using coconut oil make sure you aren’t allergic or sensitive to it. Test a patch of skin before applying coconut oil to the entire face. Place a drop of coconut oil in the palm of your hands, then warm it by gently holding your hands together. Rub the oil on a delicate skin area, such as inside the forearm or on the neck. If you experience a rash or itching.

Why Mineral Oil is bad for you?

Mineral oil acts as a thin layer on the skin. It is difficult to absorb and clogs the pores, which slows the skin’s ability to eliminate toxins.

Olive Oil for Scalp

For 8 days massage olive oil all over your scalp before you go to bed. Sleep with it on your head the whole night and shampoo it out in the morning.

Excess sebum hardens and builds layers of deposits on your scalp to choke off your hairs and make growing hair extremely hard. What the olive oil does is it helps break up those hardened layers and eliminate bacteria.

Super Conditioner

1 egg white
3 to 4 tablespoons of virgin unrefined coconut oil
The juice from half a lemon
1 mashed banana
3 to 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. After washing hair normally, apply conditioner mix to hair. Leave in for a minimum of fifteen minutes up to a half hour depending on level of conditioning you require. Rinse well with warm water.

The yogurt in this recipe works to control dry scalp and dandruff. The lemon adds shine. The banana and coconut oil helps restore moisture and add body and softness.
