Aspirin Acne Face Mask

15 Mar

3 or 4 Uncoated Aspirin Tablets
Filtered Cold Water
Aloe Vera Gel (optional)

Wash face first and dry skin.

Dissolve aspirin in a short glass with a few drops of water. Add a few more drops of water if needed until the aspirin forms a white paste.

Apply the paste to your face on affected areas. Leave on for at least 15 minutes or leave on overnight. Rinse off with warm water or a washcloth soaked in warm water.

Add aloe gel to the paste for another version of this mask. Cut back on the amount of water to make the paste and include a few drops of aloe gel. The enzymes found in aloe vera help to reduce excessive inflammation and redness, which may help in the treatment of acne. Apply the mask to affected spots and wash off after 30 minutes.

NOTE: Aspirin contains salicylic acid, an active ingedient used in topical acne medications.
